The housing contract is binding for the academic year.
It is important to understand what you are agreeing to when making the commitment to live on campus. All students residing in on campus housing are strongly encouraged to read and understand all policies and resources. This includes your rights and responsibilities, housing policies. and damage billing.
Housing Contract Releases
Students graduating in December or participating in an approved off-campus program (for example, Study Abroad) are automatically released from the contract. All other requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and releases are granted only in exceptional circumstances. Students requesting a release from the housing contract without any penalties for the 2023-2024 academic year must submit the Housing Contract Release Request Form by 4:00 p.m. on June 1 (or December 1 for Spring only cancellations). This policy is also in effect for students wishing to commute, transfer, withdraw, or take a leave of absence.
Fees are assessed as follows:
- Fall Semester Cancellations between June 2 – July 1 will be assessed 10% of the housing fee.
- Spring Semester Cancellations between December 2 – January 1 will be assessed 10% of the housing fee.
- Cancellations between July 2 – Move-In Weekend will be assessed 20% of the housing fee.
- Spring Semester Cancellations between January 2 – Move-In Weekend will be assessed 20% of the housing fee.
After the start of the semester, the college’s standard refund rate will apply.
